Dumfries-based Hire and Supplies Limited, a supplier of a wide range of tools and equipment, has invested in a fleet of power generators, manufactured by power generation specialists, Trime.
The order for a line of 6kVA, 10kVA and 20kVA sets was placed with Trime UK Ltd by the Hire and Supplies director, David Chandler.
Commenting on this latest investment, David Chandler said, “We reviewed the market; however, as a company, we like to work with in-brand stables so that our engineers become accustomed to the products. We have moved to the Trime generators because we found the reliability of their lighting towers gave us the confidence to invest in their generators, and move away from a previous supplier.”
“We currently have over forty of their lighting towers in our fleet, and we get excellent service from the sales procedure right down to the replacement parts department. Trime are a great team of people to deal with,” added David.
Hire and Supplies has branches in Dumfries, Oban and Carlisle. They cover a large delivery area throughout the West of Scotland, Cumbria, and further afield. They provide large machinery such as excavators and dumpers to essential site equipment, including generators and water pumps. The Hire and Supplies fleet is regularly updated with new machinery. They also have an extensive range of tools, consumables and PPE for sale, utilising many leading brand names.
Trime’s power generation products are well-equipped for the UK hire market. Fitted as standard, they feature an emergency stop button and a central lifting eye. They have front and side fork pockets, which heighten safe manoeuvrability. The smaller sets include a useful trolley kit with foldaway handles. To guard against any leakages and spillages, Trime sets boast a fully bunded base.
The Trime production plant is based in Cassinetta di Lugagnano, near Milan, Italy, and Pavia, just south of Milan. Aside from its lighting tower range and power generation equipment, the company also manufactures a wide range of water-recycling wash bays and dust suppression products. Trime UK has recently moved into their purpose-built 40,000 sq. ft. facility based in the Hinchingbrooke Business Park, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
