Glendun Plant one of Ireland’s foremost plant and machinery distributors has received an order for a fleet of X-ECO HYBRID LITHIUM lighting towers, from the specialist plant hire contractors, FKL Plant.
FKL Plant is a division of FK Lowry Limited, a family-owned specialist contracting business operating in the UK and Ireland construction and services sectors.

Commenting on this investment, Alan McCulla, FK Lowry Plant Service Manager, said, “Having reviewed several options, we selected the Trime X-ECO HYBRID LITHIUM lights due to their sustainability features including low emissions, low-noise, cost-saving attributes and the high-quality design and manufacture of the towers. The investment provides greater access to high-performance and versatile lighting that’s capable of meeting the varied demands of live sites, with a significantly lower carbon footprint.”
Glendun Plant’s Dermot Cunnie added, “We are delighted to supply the first Trime X-ECO HYBRID LITHIUM units to a main contractor, following an extensive product evaluation. As part of our stock order, we split the mix between standard diesel and hybrid sets to cope with increased demand for new technology. We have certainly fielded more inquiries and subsequent sales here on the back of having the Trime X-ECO HYBRID LITHIUM lights in stock.”
The X-ECO HYBRID LITHIUM is powered by advanced lithium battery technology that can be fully recharged in less than three hours. This means that in a ten-hour cycle, for 80% of the operation, the X- ECO HYBRID LITHIUM is powered exclusively by its batteries, and therefore emits zero noise and zero carbon emissions.
Glendun Plant is the main dealer and distributor for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland for a wide range of construction machinery.
